The new date is April 13, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. March 2 via Ticketmaster, LiveNation and at the Palace box office. Prices are $65 and $85, plus service charges. Joe Walsh will be a special guest.
Local fans of the Ann Arbor favorite son and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee have been hoping for a concert closer to home. His last tour, in 2011, brought the rocker to Eastern Michigan University's Convocation Center.
The tour kicks off Feb. 27 with two previously announced dates in Toledo, as well as a Grand Rapids stop March 5.
Born in Detroit, Seger grew up in Ann Arbor and started his career here. He now lives in Oakland County.

Any truth to the rumor the Ann Arbor Public Art Commission is going to spend some cash and erect a statue of Seger down on main street?

Alan, I hope not. Apparently Mr. Seger has forgotten Ann Arbor. when did he last perform at, say, Hill Auditorium? Crisler Arena? Power Center? are these venues perhaps not large enough for him? Has he gotten too big for his britches and in the process, forgotten where he came from and the community that helped make him great?

@ Homeland Conspiracy. We all forgot (and so did the news media) about the two shows you sold out at the Palace last summer. Bob Seger. Pfft.
