"Salvation" stars Pierce Brosnan, Jennifer Connelly, Greg Kinnear, Jim Gaffigan, Ed Harris and Marisa Tomei; Brosnan and Gaffigan have been seen in Ann Arbor in recent days. The movie tells the story of a former Deadhead-turned-born-again-Christian who finds himself on the run from fundamentalist members of his mega-church. Its Internet Movie DataBase entry describes it as a comedy/thriller, and the director is George Ratliff of "Joshua" and "Hell House."

I like the fact that movies are being filmed in Ann Arbor, but I can't say I've been too enthused about actually seeing any of them so far.

I wish there was a central resource, where I could hear about filming happening before it started.

The film crew was also in Island Lake Rec area, E. of Brighton for a week or two where a "ghost town" set had been created [old church, trailer, outbuildings].
