Community Ensemble Theatre, Community High School’s theater guild, will soon present its winter musical, "Avenue Q: School Edition," with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, and directed by Quinn Strassel. Performances will be March 22, 23 and 24 at 7 p.m., with a matinee on March 25 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors; tickets may be purchased online at two weeks before opening night (March 8). All performances happen at CHS at 401 N. Division.

In this PG-13 parody of "Sesame Street," a recent college grad named Princeton moves into a rundown apartment on Avenue Q. With the guidance of neighbors like Kate Monster and Rod the Republican, and the misguidance of the sultry Lucy and Bad Idea Bears, Princeton sets out to find his purpose. In CET’s edition, a 25-member ensemble joins together to face racism, homosexuality, and life after college.
