Concert reading of Jeff Daniels' new comedy at AADL

By AnnArbor.com Staff

On Tuesday, August 31 from 6-9 p.m., Chelsea's Purple Rose Theatre will present a concert reading of the new Jeff Daniels play, "Best of Friends," at the downtown library's multi-purpose Room, at 343 S. Fifth Ave. in Ann Arbor.

This new comedy, which is scheduled for a world premiere run at PRT from October 14 through December 18, will open PRTC's season. Set in a small Michigan town, the play paints a startling, yet familiar picture of two married couples as they navigate the minefield of their friendship, until it blows up in their faces. The concert reading will feature Matthew David ("Boeing-Boeing"), Alex Leydenfrost ("Gravity"), Michelle Mountain ("Boeing-Boeing") and Rhiannon Ragland ("Boeing-Boeing").

Come see the cast and director Guy Sanville in action and learn, firsthand, how PRT prepares for a production in its infancy, then stay and offer your opinions on this new work. Call 734-327-4555 for more information on this event.
