Love solving puzzles? Then plan to enter the AnnArbor.com crossword puzzle contest

By Tony Dearing

If you love crossword puzzles and if you love Ann Arbor, here’s a way you can combine those two passions.

Plan to enter the AnnArbor.com crossword puzzle contest.

Local crossword puzzle creator David Horowitz has created a challenging crossword puzzle for us with a heavy Ann Arbor theme. If you’re up to the challenge, there are two ways you can try your hand at solving the puzzle.

On Friday, you can come to our Community Space at 301 E. Liberty St. in downtown Ann Arbor between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and compete in a timed contest. You have to complete the puzzle on-site while we time you. The entry with the most correct answers in the least amount of time that day will win a $100 gift certificate from Nicola’s Books.

Then, next Sunday, we plan to run the puzzle on our web site as well as in the paper. We’ll give you until the following Sunday, Sept. 12, to complete the puzzle and send it to us or drop it off at Nicola’s Books. Those who enter will be put in a drawing for a crossword puzzle gift basket. The prize is valued at $200 and is being provided by Nicola’s Books.

Complete rules and regulations will be published next week with the puzzle.
