Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin in 'Scream 4'; regional theater awards podcast; & more

News has leaked out that Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin will have cameo appearances in "Scream 4," currently being filmed in the Ann Arbor area and starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Hayden Panettiere and others. Director Wes Craven has confirmed the news on Twitter.

THEATER

• Encore Michigan has a new podcast up looking at the upcoming Wilde Awards, the annual honors for regional theater. Barton Bund and Tony Caselli moderate the discussion among three critics, Jenn McKee of AnnArbor.com, Donald V. Calamia and Bridgette M. Redman.

MOVIES

• MTV has some details about the nine minutes of new footage in the rerelease of "Avatar" opening Friday.

• The Ypsilanti Courier reports on a new film series taking place at Washtenaw Community College.
