The chairman of the Fox network addressed all the rumors about who will replace judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres on "American Idol." But did he really help matters by not saying which rumors are true and which are false?

Meanwhile, ABC indulges in a little pointless speculation about whether the show can recover the momentum it lost this year.

Other entertainment items of note online today:

• The A2 Journal reports that the storm damage to the Yourist Studio Gallery booth at the Ann Arbor Art Fairs was worse than initially thought.

• The News also has a good story about a graffiti artist making the leap to commercial work.

MUSIC

MUSIC

Anita Baker plans to release a new album, the Detroit Free Press reports.

• Today's Lady Gaga update includes the not-very-shocking news that she still does drugs even though she doesn't think it's a good idea; and the not-very-believable claim that she avoids sex while being creative.

Kid Rock plans a Patriot Day concert in South Carolina.

TELEVISION

• Just don't know what to do with the news that Paul McCartney is lobbying the series creator to get Beatles songs onto "Glee."

• The upcoming reality show "Hardcore Pawn" will focus on a Detroit pawn shop.

MOVIES

• YouTube user mackyplanet has uploaded a video about last week's "Blank Generation" screening at the Michigan Theater:

Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver have reportedly been added to the cast of the upcoming "The Cold Light of Day."

• Actor Gerard Butler, in Detroit for a movie shoot, did a little karaoke at Cheli's Chili Bar, The Detroit News reports.

• There are rumors that her stint in rehab means Lindsay Lohan won't star in the movie about porn star Linda Lovelace, but new photos have been released that say otherwise.

• Elsewhere on the porn-star beat, Laurence Fishburne's daughter is making her debut in an adult movie.

Justin Bieber is set to star in a movie about his life story — all 16 years of it.
