Pogues return to Michigan; R.E.M. album streams online; new Lady Gaga song

For a certain type of music fan — OK, like me — Friday is a big day: The return of the Pogues to Michigan.

The Detroit Free Press previews the band's concert tomorrow night at the Royal Oak Music Theatre (and note the mention of a particularly infamous show in Ann Arbor). The Oakland Press also has a preview, in which Spider Stacy fondly recalls shows in the 1980s at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit (me too!). Meanwhile, a Billboard feature makes it more definite that this is the last time the band expects to tour the U.S.

• Both sequels and prequels to "Blade Runner" are in the works.

Diane Lane has been cast as Martha Kent in the next "Superman" project.

• The Examiner interviewed Topher Grace and Demetri Martin about "Take Me Home Tonight."

• Fox 2 interviewed star Ed Helms about "Cedar Rapids," the shot-in-Ann-Arbor movie that's opening locally tomorrow:

R.E.M.'s new album, "Collapse Into Now," is streaming in its entirety on NPR's website.

• All the classic Rolling Stones albums are being made available as high-quality digital downloads.

• Consequence of Sound reports on a newly available Lady Gaga track, "Government Hooker."

• MLive.com has an interview with our own Chris Bathgate, who's playing in Kalamazoo on Saturday.

• Stereogum is streaming a new Death Cab for Cutie song, "Codes and Keys."

Eminem's Shady Records has announced some new signings, Consequence of Sound reports.

&bull Real Detroit Weekly has a story on Girl Talk, playing the Compuware Arena in Plymouth Township this weekend.
