Humorist and essayist David Sedaris will appear at Hill Auditorium on April 13, according to an announcement from the Michigan Union Ticket Office.

A students-only presale starts Tuesday for $10 via the Michigan Union Ticket Office. Additional presales start Monday, March 4, via Ticketmaster.com; tickets go on sale to the general public on March 8 via MUTO and Ticketmaster.

Tickets for the general public are $20 and $55, plus service charges.

Sedaris first came to fame through essays on National Public Radio. He has authored several books, including "Me Talk Pretty One Day" and the upcoming "Let's Explore Diabetes With Owls." The Hill appearance, slated for 2 p.m. on a Saturday, will include readings, a Q-and-A session, and a book signing.

Sedaris appeared at the Michigan Theater in 2010.

I saw him the last time he was in Ann Arbor, when I was a student - I think 2007 or 2008? He's a great speaker.

Just looked it up - October 2008. I won tickets from the Michigan Daily last minute!

I have been to two of these readings. You get to hear the new material before it comes out in print, which is always fun. (What is the equivalent of book signing for the Kindle years?)
