Easter Egg Hunts in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area

Here is a list of Easter Egg Hunts happening in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area:

YPSILANTI The Ypsilanti Jaycees will hold their Easter Egg Scramble and Marshmallow Drop in Frog Island Park for area kids on Saturday, April 16. 9 a.m. registration. Kids ages seven and under hunt for eggs at 10 a.m., and those over seven start at 11 a.m. A helicopter will hover overhead and drop 3,000 marshmallows on to the park field. The marshmallows can be traded for prizes. The Easter Bunny will also be available for photos between 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. $1/child and one non-perishable food item to be donated to the Hope Clinic. Frog Island is in Depot Town at 699 Rice St., Ypsilanti.

Ypsilanti Free Methodist Church will host a free Easter egg hunt open to the public on Saturday, April 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The hunt will begin at noon. The event is open to the public, with the hunt open to preschool through fifth grade. There will be games, prizes, and pictures with the Easter Bunny. This event will take place rain or shine. ANN ARBOR/BRIGHTON On Saturday, April 16, 2|42 Community Church will host Easter egg hunts at Bryant Elementary in Ann Arbor and Hawkins Elementary in Brighton. 11 a.m. Invite your friends and neighbors to this fun event for the whole family. Hear an exciting Easter presentation including live music. Free. Hawkins is at 8900 Lee Road, Brighton. Bryant is at 2150 Santa Rosa Dr., Ann Arbor.

DEXTER Hudson Mills Metropark will host an Easter Egg Scramble on Sunday, April 17. Noon to 2 p.m. Children ages 12 and under can meet farm animals, have their face painted and visit the Easter Bunny while waiting for their age group to be called. $4 in advance, $6 at the door. ANN ARBOR The Ann Arbor Jaycees will host their annual Spring Eggstravaganza and Easter Egg Scramble at Buhr Park on Saturday, April 23. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be games, pictures with the Easter Bunny, balloon animals, face painting and egg hunts. SALINE The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce will organize an Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 23. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All children invited to visit local businesses to gather eggs and enter for a chance to win an Easter basket. Start at Carol's Hallmark to pick up your list. After you visit the businesses drop your stamped list off at Mickey's Dairy Twist to enter a drawing to win one of four baskets filled with items donated from area businesses. Free. SALINE The Saline Recreation Center will hold Springfest on Saturday, April 23. A conventional egg hunt for ages two to seven will be held at 11:30 a.m. A pool-diving hunt for ages 6 to 10 will be at 1 p.m. Everyone can have lunch with Bunny at noon. Bring a basket. $7 in advance, $10 at the door. The SRC is at 1866 Woodland Dr., Saline.

ANN ARBOR The Huron Village Plaza will hold an Eco Bunny Walk for Kids on Saturday, April 23. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Start the event off at Barnes & Noble with a reading of Green Eggs and Ham, followed by an Easter Bonnet Award Ceremony. Children bring their own bonnets decorated with recycled materials or holiday adornments. An egg hunt will be at 11:30 a.m. Other participating stores include Whole Foods, Georgetown Gifts, AT&T, Golden Chain (closes at 2 p.m.) and Walgreens.
