Though it's hard to believe, Dexter's Encore Theatre is now celebrating its fifth year in show business, and plans to host a fundraiser performance in support of its fifth season on Friday, May 3.

A press release includes all the pertinent details:

"An Elegant Evening with 'Evita' in Concert" will include complimentary wine and non-alcoholic beverages, hors d’oeuvres, sweets, and a spectacular silent auction, as well as a few live auction items: A trip to New York City, complete with a beautiful apartment stay and tickets to "Mamma Mia"; a ticket package to The Encore’s summer show "Les Miserables," with a signed poster and champagne afterglow when you attend; as well as a special “Try a Brand New Car for the Weekend” package from Matt Lafontaine Chevrolet. And all this will be topped off with our "Evita in Concert" performance!

Tickets are now on sale for the benefit performance on Friday, May 3 at 6 p.m. for $50. Additionally, tickets are on sale for performances only on Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 4 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. at $25. All performances include musical selections from "Evita." Broadway’s Daniel Cooney returns to The Encore to reprise the role of Che, joined by Thalia Schramm as Eva Perone, as well as an ensemble of your favorite Encore performers.

The Encore is proud to bring Broadway performers and top local talent to provide the best in musical theatre. Our theatre seats 122 guests in an intimate setting with plenty of adjacent free parking. Expanded programming such as master classes for adults and youth and a summer youth theatre program are now possible due to the recent purchase of the building.
