Feature film drama 'War Flowers,' shot near Saline, releases trailer online
A trailer for "War Flowers," a Civil War family drama filmed this past summer in the Saline area, recently appeared online.

Starring Christina Ricci ("The Addams Family"), Jason Gedrick ("Backdraft") and Tom Berenger ("Major League"), "War Flowers" tells the story of a North Carolina woman who, after being left alone with her daughter when her husband leaves to fight in the Civil War, is confronted with a wounded Union soldier.
The film was directed by Serge Rodnunsky, and produced by Allen Park-based Unity Studios.
The Internet Movie DataBase lists March 11, 2011 as the tentative release date for the film.
