MLive reports today on Hostess Brands Inc.'s announcement that it will go out of business in the face of a nationwide strike.

About 380 workers in Michigan will lose their jobs as a result of the decision, MLive reports. Locations in Detroit and Troy have the largest staffs with 65 employees each.

Even if Hostess follows through on its plans, it might not mean the end of Twinkies and the company's other iconic products; the brands will be offered for sale to other companies.
