Big Community Harvest Tour at Food Gatherers tonight from 6 - 9
Food Gatherers, The Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice, Growing Hope, Project Grow Community Gardens, Avalon Housing and Washtenaw County Public Health are working together through a Big Idea Grant from the Ann Arbor Community Foundation and Pfizer to to find sustainable and easily accessible ways to get locally-grown, healthy food to low-income residents of Washtenaw County. Several gardens that are part of the project will be available for touring at the Big Community Harvest Tour this evening, Wednesday, July 22nd from 6 - 9 p.m. and on Sunday, August 1st from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
