Thirty years after its first shop opened in Troy, N.Y., Bruegger's Bagels locations across the country will be offering a free bagel with cream cheese to customers on Thursday morning from 6-11 a.m.
Bruegger's, the chain credited with bringing New York-style bagels to the rest of the country, is celebrating its 30th anniversary tomorrow.
To qualify for a free bagel, customers can download and print out a coupon available on the Bruegger's Bagels Facebook page, or download it to a smartphone. The coupon is redeemable at either the campus location at 709 N. University Ave. or at the Woodland Plaza Bruegger's at 2260 S. Main St.

I stopped by our Commerce Store tonight and picked up some Michigan asparagus and beautiful sockeye salmon for dinner.
And I also got two slabs of those gorgeous spare ribs that are on sale for $1.99 a pound. I'm going to cook those on Sunday, but I have only made ribs a few times in my life. I'm a really experienced cook but I'm a total novice at the whole rib thing.
So I'm looking for tips, tricks and rub recipes. Hubby has a big offset smoker so I'm thinking about smoking them instead of grilling or roasting, but I am open to suggestions.
