Thirty years after its first shop opened in Troy, N.Y., Bruegger's Bagels locations across the country will be offering a free bagel with cream cheese to customers on Thursday morning from 6-11 a.m.

Bruegger's, the chain credited with bringing New York-style bagels to the rest of the country, is celebrating its 30th anniversary tomorrow.

To qualify for a free bagel, customers can download and print out a coupon available on the Bruegger's Bagels Facebook page, or download it to a smartphone. The coupon is redeemable at either the campus location at 709 N. University Ave. or at the Woodland Plaza Bruegger's at 2260 S. Main St.
