Sometimes it’s easy to forget how blessed we lovers of locally produced craft beer really are to live in Washtenaw County. There are seven brewpubs and microbreweries within a relatively short distance, with four of them right in downtown Ann Arbor. That compares favorably to many large cities, never mind a town the size of Ann Arbor.

Luckily, this Wednesday night, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., there will be a perfect opportunity to remind ourselves of our good beer fortune as Tree Town’s four downtown breweries join forces to host the first-ever A2 Brewpub Crawl.

But there’s a catch. Well, two. One, you must be a Mug Club member of at least one of the four brewpubs: Arbor Brewing, Blue Tractor, Grizzly Peak, or Jolly Pumpkin. The second is that you’ll need to buy a ticket for $40.

However, that ticket gets you beers and appetizers at each of the brewpubs, a chance to talk with and ask questions of their respective brewers, and four logo-fied beer glasses to take home with you.

Pub crawlers will meet at 6:30 at Grizzly Peak, 120 W. Washington, to begin their Ann Arbor beer odyssey. I bet right now you’re wondering how to get tickets. It’s easy: First, be a Mug Club member. Then call or stop by any of the brewpubs and someone will be happy to hook you up.

See you there!
