Kellogg recalls four cereals for flavor and odor problems
Battle Creek-based Kellogg Co. has recalled four of its cereal brands today after receiving complaints about a "waxy" flavor and scent coming from the food, according to the Associated Press. The recall involves 28 million boxes of Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops and Honey Smacks distributed across the country since late March. The affected product has the letters "KN" printed before expiration dates.
Several people complained of nausea and vomiting, but Kellogg says that the risk of serious health problems associated with the cereal is low. The company is investigating whether the problem may come from a substance in the cereal box liners.
