Mi Zarape Mexican Restaurant opens in Pittsfield Township's Country Creek Plaza

The Saline Reporter has a story on the opening of a new Mexican restaurant in Pittsfield Township. Located in the Country Creek Plaza at 7025 E. Michigan Avenue, Mi Zarape is owned and run by a local Ypsilanti family. The restaurant offers standard Mexican fare, including enchiladas, quesadillas, chalupas, tacos and fajitas. We lunched there last week and were not too impressed. It seems they could turn it up a bit by filling a soft tortilla with taco filling and THEN deep frying. Also, no shredded beef on the menu, or better yet, pork. We are ready for some GOOD Mexican food in the area-I wish the owners would be brave and add a few more items. Nothing bad here-just blah....
