Mrs. Charles Darwin's recipes come to town Nov. 8

By Elizabeth Palmer

This coming Sunday, the Culinary Historians of Ann Arbor will be hosting an event at the Pittsfield branch of the Ann Arbor District Library featuring author Weslie Janeway and her new book, Mrs. Charles Darwin's Recipe Book: Revived and Illustrated. The event (as with all CHAA events) is free and open to the public.

Do you really want to miss a discussion that combines history and gastronomy and comes straight from the kitchen that nourished Charles Darwin? I didn't think so.

So pull on the elastic waisted pants and come on down. There will be a few treats to sample at the event, the recipes of course having come from Mrs. Charles Darwin's Recipe Book. This afternoon of science and satiation begins at 3 p.m. and is scheduled to last about two hours. The Pittsfield branch of the Ann Arbor District Library is located at 2359 Oak Valley Drive in Ann Arbor.
