As a downtowner, I eat out quite often so there was nothing new to me to "savor"...but what amazed me was the amount of trash left by "foodies". I watched a well dressed couple with a top of the line stroller, just drop the lids to containers on the sidewalk and the woman picking out what she didn't want and dropping on the sidewalk. I was appalled at the overflowing garbage containers and the pile of styrofoam and leftovers on Main in front of Chase Bank. As far as the dogs go, we are a very dog friendly community, but that doesn't mean you should force an event on your dog especially when it's so hot. I try not to even walk my dog when there are big crowds downtown, and if I do we take the long way around. Nobody wants to eat food with a dog relieving itself nearby.

I applaud Ann Arbor for being dog friendly.

Delicious! Two suggestions for next year ... - I would rather have smaller portions so I can try more! :) I was full after the yummy Vineology roll and some pad thai! :) - There were lots of doggies out with their parents. It would really be nice to have bowls of water set out for the dogs. I realize owners are responsible for hydrating their doggies, but I didn't notice that happening. Can water bowls be placed out of the way for dogs in the future? Maybe even for Art Fair? Thanks to all the restaurant workers today. It was very hot and their dedication is admirable!

I agree. Dog should be left at home. The combination of the crowds, food and the presense of other dogs can lead to trouble. This is regardless of the weather.

Well how expensive was it actually? Because I don't want 2 pay $5-7 4 a very small portion. Maybe they should have 2 options for servings-small plate (taste)/large plate?

Agree that smaller portions would be a good idea. I would really like a "taste" and found myself full after my first portion. And I agree that in large crowds on hot days dogs are best left at home.

or maybe parents should leave their doggies at home, especially during the art fair.
