Free indoor play space for kids under age 4

By Tammy Mayrend

It's a rainy or cold day and your toddler is running around like sugar-crazed, caffeine-pumped mega-monster. (Yes I know that NEVER happens!) What's a parent to do? If you are a lucky Ann Arbor area family, have no fear, I have a convenient and fun solution for you.

Grab your exuberant gang and head over to the Ypsilanti Township Community Center (2025 E Clark Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48198) any weekday from 9:30 - 11:30 am, October 12 through June 4, 2010, so your children under the age of 4, are allowed to jump and romp their extra energies. The Community Center's "Tot Time" fills a large indoor play space with balls, large building blocks, ride on/push toys and a Little Tykes basketball hoop for the most active child to enjoy. Parents can even tote along a child's own toys to enjoy in the space too!

This program is FREE, however parents must be in attendance to supervise their children. For more information on YTRD's Tot Time program, call the Ypsilanti Township Community Center at 734-544-3800, visit them online at www.ytown.org or become a FAN of YTRD on Facebook.
