Get dressed in your finest second-hand duds for 'Thrift Shop,' a benefit for the Sandy Relief Fund

By Ann Dwyer

Did you just score a secondhand Members Only jacket and a new-to-you Andy Gibb T-shirt and need a place to show them off? You can do that and help raise funds for a good cause during the Thrift Shop: University Benefit for Sandy Relief at the Necto on Tuesday.

Maybe it's a look you rock every day. Or maybe you need to update your wardrobe with a trip to Value World. But don't worry, you can also pick up a few of things at the event. Whichever it is, you'll be looking as good on the outside as you feel on the inside because all door proceeds and portions of the thrift shop sales will go to the Sandy Relief Fund.

There will be "swanky hip hop and jazzy house sounds by Ayinde Audio," according to the press release.

Need some inspiration? Check out "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (lyrics NSFW).

Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013. Doors open at 9 p.m. Admission is by donation. The Necto is located at 516 E. Liberty St., Ann Arbor. 734-994-5436.
