Gospelfest workshop and choir for singers and non-singers alike

By Ann Dwyer

Regardless of whether you are a regular in the pew or a twice-a-year attendee; a true believer or an atheist, gospel music can be appreciated on many levels. The message, the harmonies, the spirit; whatever the reason, the Gospelfest workshop and choir at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ is not just for fans but for those who would like to join in.

Gospelfest unites singers from all over the region to meet and sing with people of other denominations and cultures. The half-day gospel workshop will teach participants traditional, contemporary, and original gospel music from a group of Michigan composers and music directors. There will be a mass choir concert later in the evening.
