Attend the first annual “Peace Festival” in Gallup Park. Noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy a walk in the labyrinth, meditate on the lakeside deck, enjoy a treat, drum, pray for peace or have your face painted. ENTERTAINMENT

“Top of the Park” continues bringing great entertainment tonight and every Tuesday through Sunday until July 10. 5 to 11:30 p.m. Tonight will feature the Detroit Fire Guild, the movie “Despicable Me,” music by Drivin’ Sideways and much more. ARCHITECTURE

Take the “A2 Architectural Tour” with Jacob Jabkiewicz. 1 and 3 p.m. This is a 75-minute walking tour highlighted by Burton Memorial Tower, U-M Hatcher Graduate Library, and the Michigan and State theaters. Weather permitting. $10. Free for kids age 5 and under. Meet at the corner of E. Liberty and Maynard.

MUSIC

Today wraps up the Arbor Opera Theater’s presentation of “Carmen” at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre. 2 p.m. Set in Seville around 1820, about the fiery gypsy temptress Carmen. A hot-tempered army corporal falls hard for her, but when she falls for a bullfighter, the corporal’s jealousy takes a violent turn. $22-$40. $15/students and seniors. Purchase tickets at the Michigan Union Ticket Office, Ticketmaster.com, and by 734-763-8587. The theatre is at 911 North University.
