Popular Detroit indie-rock act The Hard Lessons are going on hiatus, but before they do, they're planning a small handful of farewell shows — including one Saturday at the Blind Pig.

This break is no breakup, however: Band members Augie (vocals, guitars, etc.) and Korin Louise (vocals, keyboards, etc.) Visocchi are married, and they are taking time off to have a baby.

Read more on the hiatus on their website.

Doors open at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Blind Pig, 208 S. First St. The Hounds Below and the White Ravens open. Ages 18 and older welcome; tickets, $10. Tickets are available in advance online. For more information, call 734-996-8555.

Every time I see their name posted on the Pig's calendar, I feel like I've been waiting my whole life to see them again. Love the Hard Lessons, local rock heroes. Already have my tickets. See you Saturday!
