The New York Times reports that cable TV network HBO has picked up a new series created by Aaron Sorkin, the writer/producer of "The West Wing" and "The Social Network" fame. Set at a cable news network, the series will star Jeff Daniels, the Chelsea-area resident known variously as a movie and Broadway star, singer-songwriter, playwright and founder of the Purple Rose Theatre Co.

Daniels will play an anchor on the fictional network. According to CNN, the show is tentatively titled "More As This Story Develops." It does not yet have a premiere date and has not yet started production. Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston and Alison Pill are also in the cast.
