The Huron Players, the student theater troupe at Huron High School, this week has been undergoing final preparations for its next production, "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940." The play spoofs the great movie mysteries of the 1940s.

The show, which is Huron's entry in an upcoming statewide competition, opens Thursday and continues through Saturday. For details and ticket information, see the AnnArbor.com calendar listing or the Huron Players' website.

Photographer Courtney Sacco captured these scenes from Wednesday's dress rehearsal.

The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. In lue of recent the AAPS board's proposed cuts to high school drama programs, I realize it is imperative for the survival of our program for us to showcase our work. This show is our submission for a state-wide competition, and we've put more work into it then any of the 12 productions I've been apart of.
