Ingrid Michaelson to perform at the Power Center; Remodelers Home Tour ends today

WEDDINGS

There are two events (actually one event at two locations) today to help you get ready for the big day. The "Ann Arbor Whimsical Occasions Wedding Event" at the Polo Fields Golf & Country Club (5200 Polo Fields Dr., Ann Arbor) and Weber's Inn (3050 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor). 1-4 p.m. Get free admission to both with a copy of their facebook page (search under the event name).

HOMES

This weekend is the "23rd Annual Remodelers Home Tour" in the Ann Arbor Area. Noon-6 p.m. Get inspired! Whole-house remodels, additions, kitchens, basements, decks and energy-efficiency improvements are among the projects presented by some of the areas most acclaimed remodelers this year. Tickets are $10 per adult; ages 16 and under are free. Tickets will be available at each home and are valid for all homes on the tour. FUNDRAISER

There will be a "Dinner and Silent Auction Benefit" for Hunter Weaver at Uptown Coney Island. 5-9 p.m. Hunter began his fight with brain cancer in 2008 at the age of 12. His family needs your help. They need help with medical expenses, gas, groceries and parts to help put together a wheelchair accessible van. $25 each or $75 for a family of four. MUSIC

See Ingrid Michaelson on her "Acoustic Fall Tour," with special guest Sugar & The Hi-Lows. 7:30 p.m. Lately, her songs have been all over the soundtracks of hit television series like "Grey's Anatomy," "One Tree Hill" and more. One-third of Peter, Paul & Mary, Peter Yarrow will perform at the Ark tonight. 7: 30 p.m. Peter has been working hard to bring peace around the world, and his recent appearances have emphasized music as a shared message and an antidote to mean-spiritedness and intolerance. $35. 316 S.
