Looks to be the most smug-feel-good movie of 2012. Your typical Michigan student becoming a movie protagonist makes me wonder what movie goers are looking for these days. It's a mix of relationship movie, college years comedy, and bro-hipster chuckle fest.

Why is it news when a celebrity talks about Ann Arbor?

It would have been funnier if, instead of adolescent jokes about his manly bits getting chilly, he had explained that while they filmed the movie in Michigan, it was necessary to use fake snow, and how silly does that sound? But hey, can't let the truth get in the way of a cheap laugh.

They actually did some screens in early march when it was freezing and snowing. They were filming in a park off arboreview

Early in the filming of 5YE, before Jason Segel& co. were frequently spotted around town, there was filming that occurred behind the United Methodist Church on Seventh Ave. I definitely remember seeing the 5YE sign up while there was snow on the ground. Later in the summer they made the fake snow scenes.

I took some photographs when they were filming in my neighborhood. It was t-shirt weather.

Not to be redundant, but it was like 75 degrees when they filmed that scene.

So it wasn't even cold the day he did his full frontal?! He needed the cover, then, lol. I recall them re-doing scenes and needing to make it snow and all, but I also thought they were filming during at least some cold-weather weeks. Looks like the movie takes it cues about pleasant living from the bi-coastal perspective?

It wasn't snowy at all. They filmed last summer and they had to cover the streets in fake snow. LIES!
