Kid Cudi, the hip-hop artist who thrilled a sold-out Michigan Theater crowd earlier this year, returns to the area for a show at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2.
The show falls during EMU's homecoming weekend. Tickets, priced at $33, are available at the EMU Box Office or online from www.emutix.com or Ticketmaster.com.
Kid Cudi has risen quickly in the last couple of years, collaborating with Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas, Common, Pharrell and Snoop Dogg, among others.
His debut album came out last fall. Titled "Man on the Moon: the End of Day," it included the single “Day ‘N’ Nite” and featured samples from Lady Gaga and guest artists West and Common. This summer has seen the singles “REVOFEV” and “Erase Me” from his upcoming second album, "Man on the Moon II: the Legend of Mr. Rager." The album is due out Oct. 26. The EMU Convocation Center is located at 799 N. Hewitt Road in Ypsilanti. Free transportation will be provided to the venue from the University of Michigan Student Union all night long, according to a press release.
