I agree: the only thing that makes award shows exciting is social media!

Really, Lizzy? If the social media was nonexistent (or nonfunctional for some reason), you would find no excitement in the show? Would you not find such shows exciting if you were watching them with friends or family at your or their home?

Though last week, it appeared as though the ceremony would start at 8 p.m., it now appears to have a starting time of 8:30 p.m., so I've changed the time listed above to reflect that.

Why are you doing this?

I agree that interacting with others while watching award shows (if that's your cup of tea) or any other enjoyable activity enhances the experience. I prefer, though, interacting in person (as you, Jenn, apparently do as well, as you have the critics at your home) and find this "interaction" through Twitter or other social media to be a very poor substitute. Thanks for the reply, nonetheless.

I have local theater critics over to my home for a Tony Award party for this very reason. :)

Because for many people (myself included), interacting with others while watching award shows makes the experience much, much more fun.
