Huron High and University of Michigan grad Mayer Hawthorne - a neo-soul singer who recently offered an alternative halftime show via webcast during the Lions' Thanksgiving Day game, and appeared on "Conan" singing his song, "Walk" - has earned the number 3 spot on Time Magazine's list of the top 10 songs of 2011 with his tune, "A Long Time."

The only 2 songs to rank higher than Hawthorne's on the list are Florence + the Machine's "No Light, No Light" and Adele's "Rolling in the Deep."

Check out the video for "A Long Time" and judge for yourself.
