Meet poet and Nicola’s Books favorite Thomas Lynch for a reading from his new book of Poetry ‘Walking Papers: Poems’

By Nicola Rooney

Thomas Lynch's essays, poems and stories have appeared in The Atlantic and Granta, The New York Times and Times of London, The New Yorker and Paris Review and elsewhere. He lives in Milford, Mich. where he has been the funeral director since 1974, and in Moveen, County Clare, Ireland where he keeps an ancestral cottage.

Besides ‘Walking Papers: Poems’ Lynch is the author of three previous collections of poems with and three books of essays as well as his well received book of stories, ‘Apparition & Late Fictions.’ This new collection of poems deals with mortality, the Iraq war and ideas about government in only the way that Thomas Lynch can deal with these subjects.

Nicola’s Books is happy to have Thomas Lynch back to our store for a reading and signing of ‘Walking Papers’ on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. For more information about this event please contact us 734-662-0600 or at our website, www.nicolasbooks.com.
