"Menopause the Musical" coming to the Michigan Theater
Cast members strike a disco pose in "Menopause the Musical."
Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra meet by chance at a lingerie sale. The all-female cast makes fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. A sisterhood is created between these diverse women as they realize that menopause is no longer “The Silent Passage,” but rather a stage in every woman’s life that’s perfectly normal. “Menopause The Musical” is the work of writer/producer Jeanie Linders. The 90-minute show includes parodies of ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s classic songs and has been performed in over 250 cities and 14 countries.
