Michelle Chamuel performs 'Call Your Girlfriend' on Monday's 'The Voice' and awaits the results

By Jenn McKee

On Monday, May 13, former Ann Arborite Michelle Chamuel performed Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend" on NBC's "The Voice" and earned praise from the judges.

On Tuesday, May 14, "The Voice" (which airs at 8 p.m.) will send home 2 of the remaining 12 contestants - specifically, the 2 with the smallest number of votes. (Voting is now closed.)

Chamuel is familiar to Ann Arbor music fans as the former lead singer of popular (but now defunct) local band My Dear Disco / Ella Riot. She now lives in the Boston area.

Will Chamuel make it through another elimination? We're all waiting to find out.

I really like her voice but there are so many talented people this year! It's been a great competition

I'm really enjoying Chamuel's run on the show, but this song didn't do much for me, I must confess. Her previous performances have been far more electrifying. Looking forward to seeing more in that vein, since I think her chances of surviving Tuesday's elimination are pretty high.
