Ypsilanti 12-year-old competing on 'Jeopardy'
By Cindy Heflin
An episode of “Jeopardy” airing on Aug. 3 will include an Ypsilanti girl competing during the program’s “kids week,” the Detroit Free Press reported.
Hallie Fox, 12, is the first Michigander to compete on the program's kids week, the newspaper reported.
The student at Huron Valley Catholic School had to keep the appearance a secret for five months.

Wow! Michigan is really coming up in the world. First the Olympics now Jeopardy. How cool is that? I hope we all bring home the gold. Good luck Michiganders!

It would be interesting to find out when or if this will be aired. Normally, Jeopardy is on WDIV, but they are running Olympic programming for the next couple of weeks.

It is really sad to see someone's mind waste on TV show stuff especially, a 12 year old!

Catholic school? That appears to be an unfair advantage. Albert Einstein went to Catholic school.

At the time in Germany, the Catholic schools had higher academic standards. So, even though his parents were non-practicing Jews, they enrolled him for 3-4 years beginning when he was 6. It's not what you would think of as a religious school today.

The "first" Michigander to compete on the program's kids week? What about Allyson Lieberman's appearance in 2001?
