By AnnArbor.com Staff

Families will find an assortment of live professional theater presentations at the Michigan Theater this fall and winter with the return of the Not Just For Kids series. The series is sponsored by the Benard L. Maas Foundation and Toyota.

Single show tickets go on sale Friday, August 17 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations. Charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

The series begins Sunday, September 30 with "Bunnicula" and runs through April 2013. Standard series subscriptions can include four or five performances. Premium series subscriptions include two additional family performances by the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra.

As described by the theater, this season's Not Just For Kids lineup includes:

Sunday, September 30, 1:30 p.m.: "Bunnicula" - Lock up your lettuce! Protect your parsley! A floppy-eared bunny with mysterious habits is staking out its place in this spine-tingling new musical based on the best-selling books by James and Deborah Howe. Sponsored by Wireless Zone of Downtown Ann Arbor.

Sunday, November 11, 1:30 p.m.: "Harry the Dirty Dog" - Harry has everything a little white dog with black spots could want - but he hates taking baths so much that one morning he runs away. After a wonderful day spent playing in the dirt, Harry gets so grubby that he turns into a little black dog with white spots … and returns home to find that his family doesn’t recognize him! Sponsored by IHA.

Sunday, February 3, 1:30 p.m.: "Mysteries of Ancient Egypt" - When a famous Egyptologist mysteriously disappears, two children search for clues among the ancient Egyptian amulets and scientific journals in the trunks in her attic. Sponsored by Blue Care Network and Biggby Coffee of downtown Ann Arbor.

Sunday, March 10, 1:30 p.m.: "Martha Speaks" - Martha was an ordinary dog until the day she ate a bowl full of alphabet soup. Something unusual happened: all those letters went up to Martha’s brain instead of down to her stomach. Martha’s clever way with words saves the day in this doggone funny new musical based on the delightful "Martha Speaks" series of books. Sponsored by Clonlara School.

Sunday, April 28, 1:30 p.m.: "Seussical" - "Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr. Seuss's best-loved stories collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper! Adapted from the Broadway version, this adaptation is especially for young audiences and features The Cat in the Hat as the host, emcee and all-around mischief-maker in this romp through the Seuss classics. Sponsored by Domino’s Pizza.

Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra concerts included in the premium season package: Sunday, November 4, 4 p.m. - Carnival of the Animals Sunday, March 17, 4 p.m. - Around the World with Music
