The Benard L. Maas Family-Friendly Film Series, presented by Toyota, returns to the Michigan Theater on Sunday, October 3 with "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."

Dick Van Dyke stars in this 1960s classic about a wacky inventor and his amazing flying car that takes his entire family on a world of adventure. It is free for kids 12 and under — as are all the films in the series.

All movies will be screened on Sundays at 1:30 p.m., and the lineup includes: "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" on October 3; "The Princess Bride" on November 7; "A Christmas Story" on December 5; "Sesame Street Presents: Follow that Bird" on January 9; "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" on February 13; "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (3D)" on March 6; "The Secret Garden" on April 17; "The Gold Rush" (with live organ accompaniment) on May 15.

Kids 12 and under will be admitted free to each of these films. Admission price is $9 for parents and other adults, $7 for students, seniors and U.S. veterans, and $6.50 for Michigan Theater members. (Special prices may apply to adult admissions for the 3-D showing of "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs.") All shows take place at the historic Michigan Theater, 603 East Liberty Street.
