Can you remember the first musical you ever saw? Can you remember the first musical you ever did? If you were born after 1950, chances are pretty good that the answer to at least one of those questions is one of the musicals below.

Two of the most popular, most beloved, and most produced musicals in the American musical theater canon debut this week in Washtenaw County. Both are family friendly, and engaging for all ages, giving you the perfect opportunity to pass along the experience to the young people in your life.

At the very least, they’re bound to have a toe-tapping good time. And who knows - maybe this will be a first, or formative, theater-going experience for them, creating a passion for the art form and cherished memories for years to come.
