A special evening: Daddy Daughter Dance coming to Ann Arbor on Feb. 12
For the past three years, they've gone out to Chelsea for their version of this charming event, since there wasn't one here in Ann Arbor.
This year, they don't have to make that hike. The Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center is hosting their own Daddy Daughter Dance on Feb. 12. From the event notice:
Join us for a fabulous night of fun with your special little lady. You and your Sweetheart can make some lasting memories with dancing and age-appropriate music, light refreshements, souvenirs, and tons of fun to go around! We'll top the night off with an awesome balloon drop. Don't forget your dancin' shoes!
As in the past, Belle is eagerly anticipating this year's dance: what she'll wear, which of her friends will be there, and — most importantly — what treats will be served. Honestly, if it weren't for the treats, I wonder if she'd agree to go.
Kevin looks forward to spending a special evening with her, even if most of it involves running around with friends and eating aforementioned treats.
And I look forward to seeing them off, dressed in their spiffy best, and imagining the day that some high school boy whisks her off to a homecoming dance or prom. I can only hope that this future beau treats her as well as her dad does.
