Are you expecting many, many houseguests over the holidays? Missing time to even think about scheduling in a workout? Stop the guilt! In fact, just keep getting ready for the fun and "Dust the Halls!" Start the vacuum, sweep the floors and haul some laundry. It really counts as a workout!

Recently, researchers from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis found that people with neat homes are more active people. When you are racing around trying to clean up, you are also burning many calories!

How many calories can you burn as you clean up your "home for the holidays?" According to Fitness Magazine, you will burn 244 calories an hour while vacuuming those pine needles alone. As you sweep up the tinsel, you will burn 211 calories an hour. Dusting off the mantel and holiday decorations will burn away 160 calories an hour. Lastly, laundering all of those 'figgy pudding' stained shirts will burn about 128 calories per hour.

Enjoy your tidy home and trimmed waistline without any extra stress. Happy Holidays!
