Fit Mommy: Mom's Night Out is good for the soul — and the body
Three moms having a great night out at the Workantile in Ann Arbor!

I was tired last Sunday morning, but for so many good reasons! Last Saturday night, I went out with a few moms I know, and we hit the town and went dancing all night.
It was so nice to get all glammed up and heeled up and head out the door, child-free. Entering the world of adult conversation and light-hearted gab makes me feel like I am in college again.
Not only is a MNO chicken soup for my soul but good for my body as well. Did you know that, according to caloriecount.com, you can burn around 305 calories an hour while dancing? This would explain any soreness the next morning! It was a great workout, and more importantly, it was fun. It was great to feel glamourous and carefree for a few hours.
Even if you aren't into dancing, I highly recommend taking the time and effort to spend some time without the kids and around other adults. I love my children, but I am a much better mom when I give myself a break every once in a while. Though it is never easy to schedule time for myself, it is always worth it. Maybe you can get out and join a scrapbooking group, find a yoga class or find a book club where you can meet regularly with other moms around Ann Arbor.
If you haven't indulged in a mom's night out lately, please do soon. We hardworking moms need to splurge every now and then!

As someone that's married to a busy mother of three - this is sound advice!
