Fun with nature: Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation

By Tammy Mayrend

My family and I have participated in several free events with Faye Stoner and Washtenaw County Parks and Rec. Everything from her Sap to Syrup course (making maple Syrup) to pressing apples in the fall. Faye is an exceptional speaker who engages her audience no matter their age - I'd highly recommend any of the programs with Faye!

This Thursday, August 13 at 10-11:30 AM, Faye will be presenting the program "All About Spiders" as part of "Nature Fun Thursdays". The program is geared for children ages 3 and over and is followed by a hike to identify some of the eight-legged arachnids we may find in the Ann Arbor area.

"Nature Fun Thursdays": All About Spiders Where: County Farm Park Medford Rd. lot Cost: Free w/Preregistration required. 971-6337, ext. 334

Space is getting VERY limited so PLEASE call quickly! A hike follows the presentation ~ Insect repellent is recommended. Hope to see you there!
