Jen Eyer Jen Eyer is on the Community team at AnnArbor.com. She oversees the Parenting and Pets sections, and writes feature stories, blog posts and opinion pieces. She is also involved in community outreach. A 1997 graduate of Michigan State University's School of Journalism, she spent several years as a newspaper reporter covering local government beats, and six years as a news producer at MLive.com. She has written the Neurotic Mom blog on MLive.com since 2004. Jen lives in Ann Arbor with her husband, two children and golden retriever, and is active in her children's school and Girl Scouts. Scott Beal Scott Beal is a poet, educator, freelance writer, and stay-at-home father of two. He grew up in Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Ohio, and has lived in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti since 1990. He leads the Short Story Workshop at the Neutral Zone and teaches regular writing workshops at 826michigan. His poems have appeared in journals, anthologies, and his chapbook, Two Shakespearean Madwomen Vs. The Detroit Red Wings. He earned his BA in 1994 and his MFA in 1996 from the University of Michigan. Pamela Gossiaux Pamela Gossiaux is the author of "Why Is There A Lemon In My Fruit Salad - How To Stay Sweet When Life Turns Sour" and a motivational and inspirational speaker. Heidi Hess Saxton Heidi is the founder of the Extraordinary Moms Network, an online resource for mothers of adoptive, foster, and special needs children. Mona Shand Mona Shand has temporarily changed the channel from a career in television to stay home with her family. Previously, she worked as a reporter at WLNS-TV6 in Lansing and a writer at WJBK-Fox2 in Detroit. Born and raised in Michigan, Mona spent several years living overseas and out of state before returning home to settle in Livingston County with her husband and two young children. When not busy chasing after a toddler and attending to a newborn, she enjoys the occasional three minutes of sleep!
