MOMS Club offers friendship and support for at-home mothers

By Jen Eyer

"Spotlight On..." is an occasional series highlighting local parenting groups.

On the first Thursday of every month, members of the MOMS Club of Ann Arbor gather at a local church to socialize while their children play.

Their most recent meeting, on Sept. 3, had a lighter turnout than usual, with seven moms and about a dozen children attending. But they still managed to make the room lively and welcoming.

The MOMS Club is affiliated with an international organization that aims to provide support and a forum for topics of interest for at-home mothers. Meetings often consist of a group conversation on a particular topic, followed by informal socializing.
