Sara Arsenault: New contributor to Parenting section

By Sara Arsenault

Hello fellow parents! My name is Sara Arsenault and I am pleased to be one of the new contributors to the Parenting section of AnnArbor.com.

I am a full-time stay-at-home mother of two amazing children. I am also happily married to my husband Eric, who contributes to the Food & Drink section of AnnArbor.com. I was born and raised in this area, and I currently reside here with my family.

I am a graduate of The University of Michigan where I studied Political Science and American Culture. I have experience as a volunteer academic tutor for Education Project for Homeless Youth, and as a preschool and kindergarten classroom parent assistant. I have enjoyed doing community volunteer work for The Food Gatherers, Faith in Action, Social Services and The Red Cross. I am also active in fundraising for my child’s Ann Arbor Public School PTO.

Some of my interests include reading, traveling, finance, politics, the green movement, arts & crafts, oenology, yoga and of course parenting.

Along with my written contributions comes my hope that parental discourse will be stimulated from my articles, my questions, and my observations. I welcome your thoughts, questions, and emails to searsen@live.com .
