Who says the art of letter writing is lost? Every Christmas season, millions of children write entertaining and heartwarming letters to Santa Claus, and we want to feature those letters on AnnArbor.com.

So we're holding a Santa-letter contest, and the grand prize is a party with the jolly old elf himself. (Or rather, a local celebrity version of him!)

The letters can be written by the child, or dictated to an adult. You can enter your child's letter in the contest one of two ways:

* Photocopy it and mail the copy to us at Santa Letter Contest, c/o AnnArbor.com, 301 E. Liberty St., Suite 700, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. * Scan it and email the digital copy to jeneyer@annarbor.com. Or you could try taking a photo of it and emailing the photo to us — as long as the writing is legible in the photo.

We are accepting letters through Dec. 16, and we are posting them in the gallery below.

Then, from Dec. 17 - 18, you can log in to AnnArbor.com and vote for your favorite letter at AnnArbor.com/entertainment/parenting/santacontestvotes. The top five winners will be invited to AnnArbor.com's community space for cookies and hot cocoa with Santa!
