Purple Rose Theatre to host fundraiser barbecue

The Purple Rose Theatre will have its second annual backyard barbecue - with a dinner, live music, a silent auction, and a performance of the Rose's current production, "Miles and Ellie" - on Aug. 3 starting at 5 p.m. behind the theater (137 Park St. in Chelsea).

A press release contains further details:

The event will feature a BBQ dinner, performance by the Mosaic Singers from the Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, and a Silent and Live auction. At 8 p.m., guests will enjoy the PRTC’s production of "Miles & Ellie." The evening will conclude with dessert and coffee in the theatre’s lobby. Tickets for just the BBQ portion of the evening will be sold for $60 per person. To attend the BBQ and the performance, tickets will be sold for $100 per person. Tables of 10 can be reserved for $1,000.
