The New Theatre Project seeks submissions for company's second season, "Revelation"
The New Theatre Project recently announced the theme for its second season of operation, "Revelation."
Nearing the halfway mark of the company's first season, which aims to explore new and established works that focus on the theme of "Identity," it seems fitting to move toward a season filled with moments of the perceived knowing of truth. Revelation is far from a fully realized answer, but simply a fleeting moment of the reality our confusing lives hold.
As part of "Season 2: Revelation," The New Theatre Project will present plays of great importance to the American theatre canon; project plays, using classical texts as an inspiration for the reinvention of a play; and entirely original work relating to the theme of "Revelation."
Playwrights are asked to submit a 10-page script sample, character listing, and a synopsis for any relevant work pertaining to the season. Script submissions must be emailed to keith@thenewtheatreproject.org no later than November 28 (no snail mail scripts will be accepted), and requests for full-length scripts will be emailed shortly thereafter.
All full-length scripts requested will be given public readings throughout the months of December and January. Original scripts selected for "Season 2: Revelation" will be announced with the season announcement in the spring.
